Art Minds is based in Pasadena, California, USA, Art's photography training has consisted of professional workshops, self study, and an intense dedication to excellence. Art also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Penn State University, and a juris doctor degree from Duke University School of Law.
As a photographer, Art Minds' primary income is from licensing fees from publishers. Models that appear in his work are compensated on an ongoing royalty basis. So long as an image continues to generate licensing fees from publishers or manufacturers, the model will earn royalties ranging from 10%-25%.
Art's work appears worldwide in books, posters, calendars, mouse pads, gift bags, drink holders, video games and magazines. Art's exceptional fine art black and white work was included in Pro-Lighting: Provocative Shots (Rotovision, February, 2000), an instructional book for photographers and art directors. His "Sculped by Light" series of black and white figure studies received accolades in Shutterbug Magazine from prolific photography writer Joe Farace. Art's black and white work has been exhibited in many group shows.
Art has more than 20 published calendars featuring his work exclusively, including Structure 1999 (Structure, a division of The Limited) Bravado 2001 (At-A-Glance), Making Waves 2002/2004 (Cedco Publishing ), Men at Work 2003, Splash 2004/2005/2006 and Ten 2007 (Trends International), and Guys-Guys-Guys 2005 (Scandecor) as well as images in several other calendars. Since 2007, Art Minds' photography has been featured in these calendars: Sculpted by Light (Trends International), The Daily Hunk and The Perfect Guy (Sellers Publishing), Uniforms, Ripped, and Dream Guys (Zebra Studios). Art's images also appear in promotional calendars in the USA and Australia/New Zealand.
Posters have been published by At-A-Glance (Structure men), Reinders (Sculpted by Light), and Aquarius (Got Balls). Entertainment Tonight covered one of Art's calendar shoots in 1998, and in 2004 Art was the featured photographer in Episode 6 of Bravo TV's male model search reality show "Manhunt, the Search for America's Most Gorgeous Male Model."
